Exclusion
Rats are extremely smart creatures with superior instincts. The larger adult rats can have a near photographic memory. This is how they can complete mazes and puzzles in laboratories in astounding time. They are neophobic by nature which means that any new items in their environment will be noticed and will instilled fear, preventing them from taking a bait on a newly placed trap. To force them to get over their fear, we must seal up your home, the rats will get hungry and be forced to take risks and taste that delicious bait on the traps.
Foam reinforced with wired mesh for large gaps in crawlspaces, wired mesh and sillicone are the most effective ways to block all entries.
Trapping
Once your home is sealed from outside food sources, it’s time to get on the attack and trap the rats. Spring traps are mainly used, never use poison as this may lead them to die in your walls or outside and hurt the wildlife or outdoor neighborhood kitties. We also used our own patented rat trap using a vacuum. This is especially effective for juvenile rats and pups. The vacuum will self reset and can suck many rodents in a night. This is very effective if a nest is inside the home somewhere. Rats will cannibalize any trapped rats, this is in return will extend the time it will take to rid your home of the infestation.
Monitoring
